Just curious if anyone would be interested in this. The cars wouldn't be left at F100, of course, but they need to start out that way. I think making them max out in E class would be fair; still keeping them stupidly slow, but not TOO stupidly slow. Basically, you can choose any of the bare minimum cars (including the Vandura) and modify it however you want as long as it finishes in E class. Then we race them. The end.

I'm assuming we're talking Motorsport 5 instead of Horizon 2?

FM4 I think

People still play that?
J/K, lol. I know not everyone has switched up to XB1 yet. Luckily, I've still got my trusty old 360 laying around collecting dust, wishing desperately to be needed again. I'm down for whichever game though. The beater series were always my favorite because you could push those cars to their absolute limits and still only be doing 90mph on the straights.

Fourza would be fun

We've actually got a few series going right now if you want to get in on those. Only halfway through the season so there's still plenty of racing left.

Wow, that's actually pretty awesome! I would love to jump in if I'm available. How do I join up if I do get some time while the kids are napping or something, lol?

Fourza's car club screen has an 'invite all members to game' option so just be online at around 4pm and it should pop up in your inbox. Just need to invite you to the club first, what's your gamertag?

GT is chriscamh3.
Oh, and are there plans to get anything going for FM5, or are there not enough people with the XB1 on here yet?

I'll get an invite sent out later today, also be on the lookout for my pre-race post at around 6pm so you know what lap time to build your car to. It's a combination of things, most of us are college kids who are too poor for an 8th-gen system and those that have 5 say 4 is a better game anyways (not enough cars and tracks apparently). When Forza 6 comes out we'll probably move on but until then we're sticking with 4.

Thanks man! And I completely understand. I've only been out of college for 3 years, so I'm still just about as broke. Making more money, put paying more bills. Still just about as poor, hahaha. And 5 was pretty good IMO. I mean, yeah, it was lacking in cars and tracks compared to 4 since Microsoft made Turn 10 roll the game out for XB1's launch, which was not their original plan for when they wanted to release it, so they had to cut the content short to get it out on time. So FM6 should basically be what Turn 10 wanted FM5 to be. FM5 still isn't bad though. I do miss Fujimi Kaido and Infineon and Hockenheimring, but Streets of Long Beach and Yas Marina are def. great additions. Plus, OPEN WHEEL CARS!!!!

Don't forget Bathurst! It is a shame T10 had to rush 5 because it looks gorgeous, just seems like everything else was just lackluster compared to 4. Hopefully they'll turn it around for 6,
And I just sent out a club invite so you should be good to go for this weekend once you accept it. Lap time's 1:50 at Sunset Peninsula reverse, here's the direct link to the B450 series page with all the required upgrades and whatnot.

I'm interested.
So basically, you have to start with an F class car, and you can upgrade it to E class?
Should be interesting. I've been setting leader board lap times in F class and I've found that there is a very fine balance between the weight of the car, suspension upgrades and power upgrades to get a really good lap time.

Awesome, thanks man! And I won't be able to make this weekend's race due to being the best man at my buddy's wedding, which is on Saturday at 3:30, lol. So, I'll have to try for next week. But that'll at least give me some time to get the feel for FM4 again and really get to turning both my B450 and my A550. Just out of curiosity, what are the most popular cars being run in each series? I know I'm already going to be partial to the '71 Skyline (which I've already got spec'd out as a D-Class racer) and the '73 Trans Am, but I'm interested to see what everyone else runs.
And also, how prevalent are retro paint schemes? It'd be cool if everyone is running them together and we could have our own take on something like the Monterey Historics. I really like getting in to the design aspect of Forza as well, and as my wife likes to say all time, I spend more time making the cars look "pretty" than I do actually driving them, hahaha!

Yeah. I've been playing around a bit and it seems like power is the main priority. Even with nothing but turbos and whatnot, it's still too slow to really struggle in the turns.

Car selection's all over the board for B450 but a lot of dudes use the 1969 Z/28 in the 550 series, with the way the mandatory upgrades and BoP adjustments are you can really use whatever you want and still be competitive.
We originally wanted everyone to have vintage liveries so most of us have some kind of custom paint, Gulf, Chaparral Camaro, Donohue AMX, those kinds of things. It's a hell of a thing to see 10+ old-school livery muscle cars lined up next to each other at the start of the race, that's for sure.

Ok, cool. And do you have to use the same car for each race? Or can you have different cars tuned for different courses?

You can change cars whenever you feel like. I'd actually suggest it for some tracks, even though these cars are even lap time-wise some are more suited to shorter circuits and vice versa.
